We are a little soft on defense, thatll change for sure
We werent running the clock down we were shooting with alot of time on the clock or taking bad shots
We had leigh right there competing with us when this shouldve been dominating. Felt like they were always in it.
We’ll get better i know that for sure and we will be dominating but i forgot how heavy we are relying on freshman. Emanuel is the only one who had a game.
I feel bad for the people behind me as I block out the sun and normally try to be considerate of them. Now I just have to stand. Stupid “tradition”.
I really enjoyed the game and wasn’t worrying about how much we would win by because I knew CKS was tinkering, using all kinds of combinations. I was really impressed by Cenac who had 12 points and 10 rebounds. His 3 point stroke is really smooth.
Harwell played well in his 18 or so minutes but only took 2 shots, sinking a trey. But he also had 2 assists and 4 steals.
Flemings had 8 points on 3 of 4 shots including a trey.
Sharp was just being himself with 24 points, 3 steals 7 rebounds, and a blocked shot. He will probably be our leader.
Tugler had 11 points, 4 blocks and 3 assists. But he only had 2 boards.
All in all, I was happy with the team’s performance and the new freshmen. Cenac, Harwell, and Flemings all played well most of their minutes, and a couple of times they looked like freshmen. But I am expecting good things from them as they get into the college BB grind. CKS will have them playing much better when they meet Auburn 3 games from now.
For a first game in football season on a Monday night, I was pleasantly surprised at the number of fans already there well before tipoff. And the energy and d the first half……you would have thought it was an arch rival we were playing. So exciting to be in an atmosphere like that. I also read where UH figured out who weee the scalper season ticket holders and did something about that. So more butts in seats.
