NFL Draft 4th to 7th Round Money

Saw an interesting article from 2020 that talked about the projected 4th to 7th round draft money for players. Players selected in rounds 4-7 sign a 4 year contract with their team.

4th round base salary + signing bonus: $733,600 to $814,377 annually
5th round base salary + signing bonus: $669,444 to $698,619 annually
6th round based salary + signing bonus: $642,353 to $662,972 annually
7th round based salary + signing bonus: $628,873 to $638,424 annually

Everybody in the NFL is paid well compared to regular jobs.

I think Derek mentioned even practice squad gets 500-600k

Salary is contingent on making the team

1st & 2nd year practice squad players make $11,500/week or about $200k for a season

$200k for not getting live action hit is not a bad gig unless they have live full contact scrimmages.

Oh, I was way off. Derek said Anenih told him he was making almost a half a mil before he was moved to a roster. 200k isn’t bad either. Just get your foot in the door.

200k is just the league minimum, some practice squad players make as much as 2 million. I can see Anenih making 500k for sure
