If I read it right, he is now 287lbs. He gained 70 pounds from high school. Similar to Josh Jones, he worked on his body and was noticeably better his senior year.

Payton was a 2 star recruit and he was drafted in the first round. Meanwhile, how many of those 4 and 5 star players from UT, TT, BU, and aTm were selected tonight? What? ZERO!! Oh, well how about the whole B12? What? ZERO as well!!

Nope, Heâs not that heavy anymore. UH listed him at 270 last year, espnâs draft page has him at 268. Lean, mean, fightinâ machine!

Northwestern had two 1st round picks which was two more than entire Big 12-4+2 conference. They should add UH and BYU so they can claim some picks in the 21 draft and match Northwestern to boot

Alabama also has more 1st Round picks than the XII since 20011 I believe.
Is the new Big XII becoming the Big East?
One elite team (Oklahoma/Miami) but has a ton of teams that nobody cares about and while they are protected by a GOR, numerous teams would be happy to get an invite elsewhere (KU/WVU especially).

I have mentioned it before the greater Houston area is alibabaâs cavern when it comes to football talent. We have to do a better job keeping the home grown talent at home. Given the chance to a P5 the sky is the limit.

Iâve never got worked up over recruiting rankings for high school kids. Especially for Texas kids. There are way too many guys. The recruiting services canât see everyone. So you have a lot of under the radar guys. And a lot of those guys have come into our program and been great.

Coach Holgorsen needs to mention that to high school recruits! Here at UH we turn 2stars into NFL first round picks! We make players better! Go to UT and youâll get worse for they turn 5star players to nobodies!
