Skylar Thompson of Miami with the best QB stats. KSU grad.
Certainly hope the Texans first teamers perform better this season than the reserves. This game is unwatchable.
Waiting on the Astros game.
Mills is horrible.
I went back to the 3rd round of the BMW championship.
I was at the game. I left in the 3rd quarter when I realized Tank wasn’t playing. Stroud looked better than last week. He surveyed the field better and he threw some nice balls. But, he has a LONG way to go.
Will Anderson is a BEAST.
Did they keep Case out so he can get ready to start week 1?
I thought he had an injury of some kind and has been out of practice all week.
Former A&M back Devon Achane was carted off the field with a shoulder injury in the third Q for the Dolphins. I hope it is nothing serious.
Clayton looks pretty good tonight.
Got that on da record. I think he’s in it for the long haul. Hope so. Really, really enjoy so many more Coogs in the pros!
How did you get to watch the game?
Read something that Tank was sitting because he had some tightness and DeMeco said “Tank will be fine.”
By now, the Texans know Tank’s ability. No need to throw him against the wolves in preseason. Not much to gain for meaningless games.
It’ll be interesting to learn if he is able to withstand the rigors of the NFL season w/o serious injury. Coog fans already know he has the capability to succeed.
tank…I agree but this team needs all of the reps they can get (preseason or not)
CJ Stroud’s first opponent is against the Baltimore Raven’s Defense.
Is he ready for that by playing a few series in the preseason?
Why not have him learn in the preseason against inferior talent instead of being thrown into it right away?
this is not a typical season for how to use the preseason. The whole team (coaches + Players) need the reps!
Can’t risk injury, and the only real benefit is within the first 10 mins of the first quarter.
By the 3rd pre season game, typically starters aren’t getting anymore reps.
injury can happen in either the season or the preseason…they desperately need reps
at this point - I think it’s best that CJ gets thrown into the fire. Risking an injury against a 3rd string defense is a waste of time. He got 2 games of NFL live action experience.
We won’t know how capable he really is until he goes against 1st string defenses
I see it the opposite.
Getting reps/confidence/experience against thrird stringers can really help speed up his maturation process.
Getting his head handed to him by the Ravens with minimal reps…minimal confidence…minimal success has David Carr 2.0 written all over it.
These preseason reps are golf for THIS season’s situation. Next season may be different.
If anything, Mills is getting the benefits of the reps that should be going to Stroud.
When Stroud loses his confidence, Mills will step in.
