With the wide open portal and NIL, the G5 will become a farm system for the big programs. Do well enough and transfer to Bama, Clemson, Ohio State.

The payroll tax for a self-employed is 15.3% of Net Income.

Even if the standard deduction eliminates Income Tax it does not eliminate payroll taxes.

Many athletes will be caught off guard with this in 2023 as their tax returns are completed.

I am waiting to see how many big money players end up not doing well in college.

Second issue I am watching for is when a booster pays a player nearly 7 figures, and then the coach doesn’t play him his first year or two.

Yes, if players have the opportunity to be a high draft pick, they will opt out of the game.

It will be NIL money remorse.

This is a Dot Com bubble.

Just watch how fast this went up and goes down.

Just think how much money Herman and UT would have spent to get the same players they got to go 7-5.

Just look at the Ewers /Manning situation.

You are the Million dollar payer to get Ewers as the Big name on campus.

Shark just screwed you out of a million because Manning is getting all the press and will be for the next few yrs, before he even steps foot on campus.

Now the money people are stuck paying a million for a kid, for 4 yrs, that ain’t the guy any more.

Let the big guys cannibalize themselves.
