NIL tidbit from Saban

The big name schools tell the NCAA who they can punish or not, otherwise schools like A&M and Auburn would have received many more warnings and punishments from their past violations. Not just SMU getting the death penalty or Boise being punished for a player getting a couch to sleep on and some free pizza.

Exactly. The sham continues.

It was designed that an athlete can sell his name, image or likeness. We have no idea what the contracts say. It could say that they have to be in a commercial, or show up to one event or 100 events. Maybe it is just to have a picture on a poster.

We have guys showing up to bars, golf tournaments and pizza commercials. What is mattress Mack getting from his million? I think he had some guys come sign autographs.

It is their name, image and likeness. They can do whatever they want. No one is mad if an accounting student gets a check from HR Block to be in a commercial.
