Houston Learns It Will Face Syracuse And Tennessee In The Players Era Championship Houston Learns It Will Face Syracuse And Tennessee In The Players Era Championship
When was the last season Cuse was good…?
2020-21, they were an 11 seed. Sweet 16
*in 2016, Final Four
*but a truly dominant Cuse, 2013-14 season. 28-6 record
Didn’t we play them in the elite eight or sweet 16?
To me it looks like the entire Player field is going to be in 2026 tourney.
Syracuse is a “cream puff”……and in other news Jimmy B. retired a few years ago……and they haven’t been really good in 10-12 years.
Rutgers, Notre Dame, UNLV, Maryland, Syracuse?
I think Tenn may be a little cream puffier than last year as well. Syracuse yeah I was thinking we got one of the easier teams there. This thread is making me reconsider my take on thread merging.
Well I’m fired up and getting things lined up to go to Vegas for the tourney.
Not sure we want to stay at MGM again but we will see.
Sweet 16. We then played Oregon State to go to the Final Four.
I had stayed at 5-6 different Hotels in Vegas….then I stayed at Caesars….only place I stay at now….the pool has fantastic scenery.
My brother goes to Vegas quite often, and he told me the same thing…thanks for sharing…
Just a heads up for anyone that’s looking to go, they’re playing at two venues this year since the field expanded. One arena is attached to the MGM and the other is attached to the Mandalay. Personally I’m waiting to book until I see where UH will be playing.
If I remember correctly, Cuse was last good when UH beat them in the Sweet 16 which was Boheim’s last game he coached
Boeheim coached 2 more seasons after losing to UH in the tournament

Was looking at the NCAA attendance numbers for 2023-24. Syracuse averaged 19,102. #2 in the country behind Kentucky. Even if they’re down right now, they’re still one of the great brands in CBB. Lets go stomp them into oblivion lol
We stayed at MGM last year for the tourney and I must say it was quite expensive, especially the food…then again I hadn’t been to Las Vegas since the early 2000’s. Heck they even charged $50 extra each night to use the dang refrigerator lol…
I’ll be staying at Southpoint, it’s the best value in Vegas.
