She does really good editing and puts together good film montage for some of the players. She did one for Derek and it was awesome.

“(2021) is the year we take off,” junior starting quarterback Clayton Tune said. “It’s go time for sure. There’s no more sitting around and waiting.

Sounds like tune is ready to go!

From the things I’ve seen or heard from the players, they seem to be ready, bought in and unified,

Kick Hiney and take names!

To be fair what are they supposed to say? Are we ready? Nope we’ve been sitting around watching Youtube all day. Bought in? Nope, we’re sold out. Unified? Nope we all hate each other.

Anyone can talk a good game, he needs to show it on the field, ie, less interceptions

Kick Hiney…didn’t he play for the Lions in the '50s?

It’s their enthusiasm and energy as opposed to the previous two years but I guess they could be faking that as well .

Exactly. But, we have inside scoop from @Twinmom that it is legit, at least on the defensive side. Players all know their weaknesses, individually and as a team.

I recall one of the rules of Rogers Rangers is to never lie to another ranger (teammate or coach in this case). Say what you want to others but always be honest with other rangers.

My senior year in high school coach decided he had the people to open up the offense a bit by splitting an end or flanker. Sounds crazy now, I know, but we were dumb farm kids and 3 yards and dust was about all we could handle the previous year.

Coach asked me a week before the season started if I thought we would have a good year. I said yeah, but some of us are worried about the whole split end thing.

I think we played four games with the fancy formation and went 1-3. Then switched back to double tights and won our last five, including beating the #2 team in the state and a league rival.

Point is those of us who were worried about our success with one less blocker in the box, never said anything to anyone outside of the coaches and our teammates. To the fans everything was great and we were going to make a run at state. Maybe that’s not the way players think about it now, but I was never afraid to tell the coach my feelings when asked.

Now, dropping an option pitch-out, that scared me.
