Offense Was Embarrassing

7th toughest schedule.

Maybe Fritz should’ve dropped the UNLV game for HCU.

Completely agree… we have enough talent to not be the worse in FBS. Excuses…fire the OC!

Lets see how our opponents to date, fared vs other team’s offenses

UNLV? Everyone they have played has scored more than UH, that includes, the 0-5 Utah Tech Trailblazers. of something called the United Athletic Conference.

OU? Only 1-4 Temple scored less than UH, Temple was held to 3.

Rice? UH scored more than TSU and Charlotte whose only FBS win is vs Rice.

Cincinnati? Everyone they played scored, including Towson! who put up 20 on Cincy.

Iowa State? Again, we scored less than anyone they played, which includes FBS North Dakota and Arkansas St.

That pretty much sums it up.

Is Manjack done? And what about Batton who got hurt?

Did he push out all of those talented players that transferred in the off-season? Because there WAS talent there. Even so, this current team should at least be able to make a field goal.

With about 5 minutes left in the game a fan next to me noticed that Ale was warming up and had his helmet on. He appeared to have no health problems with his throws.

We were hoping to see him come in even if it was garbage time. Alas, Chriss came in and well, we know how that last series went.

Thanks. Maybe we’re closer to unleashing the Ale

59 had two in the game that were costly

This is a great shot. You are for wide open Carr is and Smith does not see because he is watching Sneed from the snap of the ball. But he is the other point. The ball should be thrown now. If Smith makes the throw now with some arc and let’s Sneed go get it. It is a touch down. That DB is not going to catch Sneed. But the throw was late and under thrown and intercepted.

There’s no doubt about it. This offense is historically bad. It must improve and fast.

I’m sick. Basketball please

Yep. That’s one of many issues I see as well. He takes way too long to make decisions and get the ball out of his hands, which is why a lot of our short screens to the RBs and WR’s get blown up. Staring down the receiver doesn’t help either. A lot of the passes are telegraphed, which makes it easy for the DBs
to make plays.

The thing that drove me crazy with Dana was how his offense changed over the years from quick passes to more of a pro style passing game with the quarterback sitting in the pocket, dancing around, only to be sacked when he can’t find an open WR. We had success in the past when our offense resembled the likes of SMU and UNLV, where the ball gets out to the skill players really fast. This gives them a chance to make a big plays in the open field.

Sadly, we see none of that with this offense. The quarterback doesn’t have the accuracy to hit deep balls, and he takes way too long to get the ball out, which often results in sacks, getting blown up at the LOS, and or interceptions.

The offensive line does seem to be getting better. The QBs are getting more time and sometimes the running plays work.

Yeah, I think the OL did do better but some of the penalties really came a bad times.
