Hearing from someone on the team EO is a precautionary 3 week injury. He is considering not playing until the CCG. If the Coogs make it to the CCG and lose he will be done and get ready for the NFL.
I just canât see him not playing next week. He was all over the sideline jumping up and down. His knee looked good to me. He has stated he wants to win a conference championship and a New Yearâs bowl. He needs to play because we canât afford a loss. I just donât see it in Oliverâs personality to not play if he is able too. Reports are is it is a knee bruise so hopefully he will be good to go with a week of rest.

We arenât 7-1 without Ed, but if that is the case then I would just sit out the season. Why risk another injury when your a top 3 pick?
I know Ed really wants to play, but thatâs just my 2 cents

Did you not see our defense today without Oliver in the middle? You are discounting how important he is to this defense. Imagine much worse the Tech game would have been if Ed had not played. Know way we are beating UCF or a P5 without him. He is crucial to stopping the run.

Edit: Also im not trying to discredit Ed, but every team we play has figured out how to work around him. Even when he is triple teamed, we still have trouble stopping the run

Wow, I can not believe you are downplaying the importance of Ed to this team! You can not expect us to outgun everybody. It was before my time but I guess you would also have said Wilson Whitley should have not played in his day and that we could have won a Cotton Bowl without him. That team would of just outscored every opponent with the Veer offense.
Im not downplaying his importance, but he is not the sole reason we are 7-1. Last season is a prime example, and Ed wasnât even being guarded the way he is this season.
We literally just destroyed #21 USF without Ed⊠Our defense turns it up in the second half just like they have been almost all season. King + Briles is a scoring machine. Without them we go 7-5 again

How worse could the tech game be? A loss is a loss.
Sad to say I missed the game, couldnt even watch on tv, got stuck at work. Sounds like it was a great game.
