I didn’t even know it’s him until you mentioned it! He’s fatter and lost a lot of his hair! I guess once you joined the “Power5” the stress level is a lot higher!
Being the Baylor AD will do it to you. A couple of bottles of wine a night might help you through the night.
Memories of what? I do not quite understand the posting. None of them left a lasting legacy. All of them benefited from Tilman’s money with what results?
Mack got the stadium built. He bombed on some coaching hires (hit on a couple too) but he got the stadium done. Many thought it was impossible.
Granted he had some help (see 2011 season) but he busted it and got it across the goal line. That’s really what he was brought here to do. His big selling point coming here was that he got a stadium built in Akron.
I’m not a big Mack fan. But he does have that.
Dickey was the #2 or #3 guy. Good guy but no legacy other than being part of what we built. Hunter didn’t do much and interviewing in his UH office for the Arkansas job will always leave a bad taste in my mouth around him.
That’s funny about Mack. I meet him once in the Alumni center, and my recollection was he was
much taller, thinner, and had full head of hair. I did not recognize him in that photo
He was okay as an AD. Better then most we had after Fouke. I can’t ( and don’t want to) remember most of them. Hope Pez is the next Harry.

That’s how I would rank them too. I think Pez is too much of an unknown at this point but no problem with him at 4 given the competition.
I wish we could find someone that could combine Mack’s fundraising abilities with Uncle Dave’s ability to hire coaches. Of course, we would never be able to keep them! Lol
Yeah, I’m banking on Pezman’s potential to stick around and do great things in the future for us.
There is a big gulf between numbers 1 and 2. After 4 , they are all a bunch of guys not really caring about the institution, just looking for their next gig. We need stability ( with ability) in the
AD office to grow, develop connections, and hopefully help retain good coaches.
