Okie Lite was selling wolf tickets

Shame that our D line worked so hard for 3 qts and we got away from the blitz in the 4th. It allowed MM to slice us up. But we prevailed. Great game. Given the buzz around both programs a 3 point game was a legit final.

Missing 4 defensive players and yet defense still did enough for us to win.

It’s tough to stop good college offenses late in the game - ours included

Looking around from Section 231, the north side plus the lower west end zone appeared to be about 60/40 UH/OSU except for the student seating area…so there were probably around (18,000 x 40% =) ~7,000 OSU fans there plus some more (but not too many more) on the upper home side.

So overall, I would estimate that there were around 8,000 to 9,000 OSU fans in total at the game. Very nice turnout!

Yeah you can tell our defense was getting tired in the 4th, having so many starters out hurts in games like these.

But alas, we won

Good job on the University for putting together this game day.

This should be the standard that we push for every damn home game. Not just one offs, but EVERY GAME.

Have everybody associated involved, push for ticket sales, packed stands, high production values, do give away every game if needed. This team and Willie Fritz deserves a packed house in concordance.

WE ARE A POWER SCHOOL, LET’S CONTINUE THIS EXCELLENCE

Yep, it was clearly 80-20 favoring Houston, just like we all said it would be…Nice crowd!

Our season tickets are in section 109, South side, so we have a very good view of the North side seats. It looked like sections 131 and 132, 231 and 232, and 331 and 332 had a fairly good number of OSU fans. I’d say more than 60% in those sections. Then in of the other North side sections there was good number of OSU fans, say 20 -30%. Give them credit as they did show up, but not in the numbers they were boasting about this weeek.

That was the max number I was thinking, probably less.

Probably in the 5-600 range for OSU. I have photos of most sections if someone wants to count the dots.

I walked the stadium and looked at every section. Most of the sections in the stadium had less than 20 Okst fans. I would agree that about 5-6 were 50%+. That’s basically 1k fans. 5% of the rest of the stadium imo is generous but even if you bumped it to 7.5% you’re talking about 4k total. There’s no world where it was more than that. I was in 129 and even there it was maybe 10% Okst fans. And that was there side in the lower bowl.

Thanks for your observation. Just for clarification, all I was trying to point out that in those six sections I looked at on the north side from our South side seats looked like more than 50% OSU. Wasn’t trying guess at numbers in total.

They had a better showing than we’ll ever have in Stillwater. I enjoyed hanging with the Cowboy fans that were in my section. They were good sports through and through. Like you say it was a respectable turnout but definitely not a takeover like they were gunning for on social.

I agree with folks that say less than 5%… maybe a couple thousand max. They overhyped. They are really good at internet trash talking but not so good on defense.

Well no sh1t they have like 15k alumni in Houston. We have what 50 in Stillwater?
