My Dad is an avid UT fan (I know, itās a thing, he tries to cheer for UH but not really) and I asked him about Weaver. Said he would have gone back to UT but they filled all their spots. he is a high energy guy, more of a defensive specialist, but can score. very athletic. he is one of those guys that annoys the crap out of other team. good rebounder for a guard and pushes fast breaks.
To me that sounds a lot like the Mylik Wilson replacement

I am SUPER stoked about this pickup. ive been a Weaver fan since I first saw him play and have said multiple times Iād like to see him in a UH uniform.
this is a great pick up! experienced, good play off the bench. heās a very high energy dude!

Great addition. Unlike others, I hated to watch him play BECAUSE he played for the great Satan. He will be fun to watch NOW.

Always thought watching ut that Weaver didnāt belong there. Then ut gets in his way and his offensive efficiency dips his last season. Everything about him will look better in a Houston uniform.

Thatās because when he played, they were memorable. When they took him out, they were a typical talented but uninspiring Whorn team.

I really think ut had messed up Weaver by his Sr season. In the tournament he forced their hand to keep him on the floor with his hustle.
Like Kyle has mentioned Weaver shot 40% from 3 as a freshman, then fell off on much lower volume. Milos is similar from %, shot 40% as a freshman before falling to under 30%. He gets to UH and shoots 42% the first year. Mylik also improved to best 3% after transferring here. Grimes got much better. Dunn and Kyler Edwards, not so much.
Also random, it is weird how many guys have good year/bad year/good year/bad year from 3%. Youād think someone who can shoot, would be more consistent. Or guys what slowly get better year over year. But tons of guys I look at have wild swings year in and year out. I guess some is just the sample size of shots.
