Makes sense. Better to not have a commitment to fly across the country for potentially one game under current circumstances.
Guessing the SEC road opponent would be someone within driving distance if necessary. Arkansas or A&M seem the most likely if that’s the case.

TSU and Prairie View will be screwed if they don’t get that money! Wonder if that changes how they scheduled all those road games.

Is this because the power conference teams are depending on mid majors to bring enough fans to fill their arenas?
If we’re scheduling a SEC opponent that’s close to us Aggies or the Hogs, But I hope it’s going to be either Auburn or Kentucky. Our schedule is already awesome and if it is one of them this would be unreal. We need revenge on Kentucky lol
Arkansas and LSU should be on the schedule yearly. Good games and there easy trips

The power conference teams (including us) pay the TSUs of the world to come to their gym without giving a return trip in part because the ticket revenue from the game exceeds what the team has to pay to get those teams to show up. If ticket revenue isn’t there then it’s unprofitable to do the buy games.
