• Texas State has at least one arm catching people’s attention, and that’s junior college transfer righthander Hunter McMahon. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder, was impressive against Lamar last week, sitting 92-94 and up to 95 with his fastball. A steady stream of the arms they showed off against the Cardinals were 88-92, and many of those arms are experienced. That could bode well for Ty Harrington’s club as ’19 nears.
