ESPN’s Jay Bilas calls for change in college basketball during Alabama-Florida game
Why is it just halfs, not quarters? Is there a reason? Not sure it needs a change. Coaches have time outs to reset their team.

I think price point is very prohibitive for people for both football and basketball.
Apparently you get more timeouts with halves, which means more ads.
Idk, i have a hard time believing the NBA has less ads
If fouls get reset, the Coogs will never ever be in the bonus.

We lost the H Association area which definitely held more than what’s there now.
We also moved the SOH so the drum set and guitar set up is on an elevated platform over seats. Used to be on the floor.
There’s some wasted space that could hold more seats but some of that wasted space generates revenue like the loge box area (could easily be two more rows of club seats) and the BarcaLoungers area. Also that HOUSTON COUGAR wall on tiny upper deck could give way to more seats.
Lastly, you could build up the seating across from the teams by making vomitoriums to enter the arena seating rather than an open concourse but that would cost a lot and make the concourse darker and more cramped and limit SRO.
Yeah, the band seems to take up more seats than they used to. I think the options for adding seats are so limited as to probably not be worth the expenditure.
