Just saw that Cameron passed away today. 26 yrs old. My heart and prayers go out to the Burrell family

Only thing I can find is that some instagram post claimed that he died.
Reported on Twitter and other Coog sites. If it is fake, that would be cruel but it would mean he’s alive. I DM’d Duarte and haven’t heard anything

If true then it’s a heart-breaking day for the Burrell family. My best wishes and love to them. As well as to all those who knew and loved him.

I sincerely hope that’s not true. We already lost Foster and Smith within the last year. We don’t need to keep losing young men.

Wow…I still remember when he and the Track team won the National championships for 100m and relay races. They got a great ovation too from the crowd at one of the home football games(rightfully so). So sad to hear of him passing away at such a young age. Thoughts and prayers are with the Burrell family and the entire UH Track and Field team.

Absolutely devastated. If any family embodies Cougar Pride and for all the University stands for, it is the Burrells. This one hits hard.

An incredible tragedy for both the Cougar family. But more importantly the Burrell’s. My thoughts are with them in this time of unimaginable pain.
