I think the problem lies on more of the fans than administration in terms of being last in value, budget, resources etc.
Khator, CKS, CWF, Tilman cannot fix this.

I think itâs just one of those things where demographics are destiny, more than anything else. $150 for a season ticket represents a bigger financial commitment for our fans than it does for fans of Cincy or UCF, and Iâm not sure how you get around that.
I had to do a little co-pilot research and it came back with thisâŠin regards to your comment about relative financial commitment for season tickets. I think winning is probably the main driver than financial commitment when it comes to alums.
I think we need to add a football questionnaire to every application to weed out people who wonât support the team before they get to campus.
We should also have a section for basketball as well. Maybe even throw in baseball and volleyball for extra credit.
Lmao
You are always going to have your academic students who care not for athletics. You canât say you cannot study here if you do not support athletics. But how about the alumni demonstrate support for the university on game day and show students what an alumni of UH looks like. Support would bring corporate sponsors, lively atmosphere and genuine enthusiasm for the program that students could see and feel. Could the AD and President help, yes and I think they are, but it is up to the person in the mirror to get it done.
I can only do so much, we need to get rid of the would be non-supporters before they get to campus.
Or we can incentivize student attendance with free bonus points or something.
Plus, many of our first generation alums are suddenly embarassed to send their now Traditional Student children to the University of HoustonâŠ
I see dozens of examples.
They donate money to their kidâs school âŠnot their alma mater.
Winning doesnât explain the gap either; UCF finished below us in the Big 12 standings last year, and Cincinnati was tied with us. Cincy was dead last in the conference the year before. Our records over the last four years havenât been all that different, with the exception of the fact that Cincy went to the playoff that one time. It certainly doesnât explain a 10k+ gap in attendance.
