Since it’s the offseason, I thought I’d post some items about some of the key figures behind our proud University.

Some of the older Cougar fans might remember the very public battle between the Cullen estate and his high profile “royal” grandson…as most of it took place right here in Houston.

Thanks for posting, a very interesting read. Another good read that focuses on the history of several wealthy Texas oil families is “The Big Rich: The Rise and Fall of the Greatest Texas Oil Fortunes”.
The author chronicles the rise of four great Texas oil barons: Hugh Roy Cullen, Clint Murchison, Sid Richardson, and H. L. Hunt. A fascinating read.
