OT: Does this schedule really get Notre Dame into the CFP

And actually, that schedule is INCOMPLETE.

Here’s the latest schedule. The one posted doesn’t show the Army game. It’s a full 12 game schedule, with ND likely favored in at least 10 of those games:

So you have two MAC teams and two service academies. That’s four almost guaranteed wins.

You have three of the weaker ACC programs, plus Purdue. That’s likely four more wins.

Eight wins without even so much as breaking a sweat.

USC isn’t exactly a world beater these days, nor is aTm. ND will likely be favored in those, and possibly the Louisville game as well.

This is schedule VERY LIKELY to get ND 10 wins or more.

And assuming they get that, then yes…THEY ARE IN!!!

Not necessarily.

As I said, ND is too big of a ratings bonanza for the CFP to leave out.

If they get 10 or more wins, which is highly likely with that schedule, then they are in.

That’s basically a median P4 schedule. It’s fine as long as they don’t end up with more than two losses. FSU, @ USC, @ A&M, and Georgia Tech and Louisville teams that could be sneaky.

I think they’ll be favored in all but the FSU game, and maybe Louisville.

USC and aTm aren’t exactly world beaters these days, and ND should handle GaTech without issues.

a 10-2 Notre Dame makes the playoffs every season, they are Notre Dame.

Yup!

Yes, IF the stronger teams on their schedule don’t poop the bed.

It doesn’t matter what the Notre Dame schedule is, if they go 10-2 they will make the playoff. The committee is not leaving out a 10-2 Notre Dame.

ND always gets the benefit of any doubt and just fielding a team gets them ratings. Do yall remember when John Huarte won the Heisman over Joe Namath and both were drafted by the Jets? Remember Huarte being Namath’s backup? Just saying.
