We have seen this play out in previous series against the Warriors. The Rockets are not winning game 6. I would be pleasantly surprised.
Agree. Its why I laugh at the posters here who get mad at attendance. It is the same at UH as it is for pro sports, it is a Houston thing, likely always will be. The city of Houston just isnât a great sports town (if that is defined by great crowds). The Astros, Rockets, and even the NFL donât draw well compared to their contemporaries. Well, the Astros do currently, because they are on one of the greatest runs in MLB history. 2-3 years from now they will be back to middle of the pack.
If youâve been to Astros games recently, you would notice that those crowds have dwindled, too. Part of that is what used to ail the Braves - they were good for so long that people just kind of sat back and waited for âspecialâ games or whatever. But the economics of going to any game have gotten pretty rough for professional games.
I think Astros fans know it is a long season and it is not even summer yet. They are conditioned to come around come playoff time, unless there is a marquee team in town.
Crowds always peak and then level off like with the Braves. However the Astros crowds are still very good and have sustained. Last season was the second largest turnstile count, not including post season, in club history.
Iâd be surprised if the Rockets can force game 7. They need to run and gun again and get a big lead. With Curry nursing a sore thumb there is a possibility
Even in the past few weeks at my work, we have trouble giving away Astros tickets to our coworkers.
Sadly, Steph Curry is the owner of the Rockets in the past 10 years.
I doubt we go to game 7.
If it wasnât sold it I can understand because lower bowl tickets have been more than $500 before fees I looked tonight and the cheapest I saw was in the upper bowl corner for $125 before fees. You can game the system and wait until close to tipoff and prices usually drop but the Warriors games even in the regular season are usually a tad higher just because they are one of the teams that bring out fans.
Jalen green is so bad for a 4 year pro. Put in Cam.
Whos watching the Rockets?
I am. Have a bad feeling about the 4th but Iâm locked in regardless of the outcome.
I still hate Steph Curry.
Stop chewing on your mouthguard.
Fyck Steve Kerr
I take it back Fred!
Steven âAqumanâ Adams has become one of my favorite Rockets.
He and Sengun work together amazingly well for two big men.
If we pull this series out itâs going to level this team up.
