OT: Jerry Jones is a jerk

You don’t know that. Maybe he does have room to care less. :slightly_smiling_face:

Poor grammar is a pet peeve. Lack of logical expression are even more so. But you’re right :sunglasses:

How do you feel about sentence fragments, though?

Fixed, thanks! :+1: I don’t mind being made aware of my mistakes.

Nice of you to quickly correct him

His firm grip on the GM position has garnered more attention from the mothership broadcast station than if he hired the best GM in the business to run the team.

Look at this guy.

He didn’t make a decision on Black Monday. Instead he waited during the WC week. He let the Dion stuff stew in the media for a bit and then he announces just before conference championship games he is hiring internally.

It’s brilliant really. More clicks and more headlines is making him more money than rings.

People who call out others for incorrect grammar are rude in my opinion. As long as you totally understand what they meant, what difference does it make. I ask you, do you correct your friends grammar when having conversations with them? If you wouldn’t do that face to face, why do it behind a keyboard?

The only people who should correct other peoples grammar are teachers and parents correcting their children. Of course if asked what is correct by a friend, yes it would be proper to tell them.

Didn’t you just make fun someone’s typo in another thread even though you clearly understood what was meant?

Yes I did, but I didn’t call him out, I was funning with him, because I knew it was a typo and so did he. I make them all the time.

So rude.

Yep, that’s me.

Yes… yes.

(Until someone says “verse” instead of “versus”… then all bets are off and I gotta do what I gotta do)

Same song, different versus…

Honestly owning the cowboys is like being on 3rd base - how can you not mess it up? But he’s proven he’s not a personnel guy by no means and wants to stay as the face of the franchise

What other owner gets interviewed before a head coach?

Just don’t “loose” this conversation Sukie.

As long as fans continue to buy tickets to watch them lose, Jerry is making money. No reason for him to change, but if the stadium gets empty because they continue to lose, different story.

He likes 2 things, money and media attention. When the camera’s show him in his box after a score, he is prepared to be on TV.

In a related story, water is wet.

Came here to say that the title of this thread is an accurate statement. Jimmy Johnson would agree

I can’t stand the cowboys but can you all imagine is Jimmy Johnson had stayed on?
How many more championships would they have won?

Yep, I was a preteen during those years and a diehard cowboys fan. I realized back then how dumb it was and lost interest in the team when switzer came on. Haven’t looked back :joy:
