OT- Miami(OH) is 29-0 and may miss the big dance if they lose the MAC tournament

deserve (verb)
deserves (third person present)
deserved (past tense)
deserved (past participle)
deserving (present participle)

  1. do something or have or show qualities worthy of (a reaction which rewards or punishes as appropriate)

imo, going 30-0 or 31-1 if they win the last game is deserving of a tourney win. since 2000, only 4 teams have gone 30-0. i never said for the tourney to give them a win; just a little easier draw than it looks like they will get for their season record.

We don’t seem to ever get easy draws
I guess that one path to the final four in 2021 was supposedly easy because of the upsets

If Miami is that good then they shouldn’t have a problem playing any team

To be fair their schedule is straight up trash.

They did it. These sly dogs finished the regular season 31-0

i did not know until watching last nights game that they won, miami called 79 better programs to try and schedule a game with then; none did and the announcer said there are only 84 higher profile programs.so, they made the effort.
they also did not release their schedule for this year until very late per broadcast team, which indicates they probably knew they had a weak schedule and were doing what they could until the last minute.

I don’t have Twitter but the video is awesome. Didn’t know the connection.

I am taken back - my own personal opinion of course - that there is even any discussion on whether Miami OH make it in - after an undefeated regular season, ending the regular season ranked in both polls - in the top 20 in the AP - in a tourney that fields 68 teams
and I say that fully understanding their conference is ‘weak’, their schedule is ‘weak’ - they barely ‘got by’ some teams and maybe even ‘got lucky’ in a few (of course - they are freaking undefeated - they had to have luck) - but if these guys have not earned a spot
 no words.

And yes, they could lose in the first round - may not be favored - so what
they’ve earned a spot.

I mean they are still AP top 25 so I think they should get in regardless of their tourney results. Then let all those metrics out the door at let them play on the court and see if they can beat another NCAA tourney team

They are in even if they lose their first game in their conference tournament they deserve it

After an undefeated regular season, I think they should be in regardless.

Normally I would be all in on Miami Ohio being in for an undefeated season, but geez they played no one but sister of the poor. THeir non-con schedule was ranked 361st. So if they didn’t get in, that’s on them. There are only 365 teams in Ken Pom rankings. So that is absolute sh!t.
If it was even a mere one standard deviation form the average schedule I would argue for them. But damn they basically only played quad 3 and four games. Ken pom has them rated 91st while being undefeated. That’s how bad their schedule is.

If they win the MAC tournament give them a #10 seed. Should be a good game against a marginal top 25 P4 team at the #7 seed.

If they lose the MAC tournament give them a #12 seed and see if they can give us a one of those 12/5 upsets we all love. If they are actually somewhat legit they should have a good chance to do it against the big boys.

Miami has just lost to UMass.

I still think they can get in over some marginal bubble team.

They should be in. If they miss and a team like Auburn gets in, that would be a travesty

Pick 2

All terrible lmao except D. But zero quad 1 (Miami O) is bad too. Auburn is A for sure lol. I can now clearly see why everyone is saying the bubble is terrible this year.

Not just 0 Q1 wins, but only 2 Q1 wins (vs 55 and 128) and a Q4 loss.

I hope Miami gets in, but their resume is not good.

I agree but in reality I think Auburn would beat them by double figures
