I like the U of Utah look. Its classy and sharp. IMO this changing colors/uniforms stuff is getting carried away. I particularly detest the Texas Tech practice unis… And NEVER have I seen a kid play better because he had a nice shirt.

In all seriousness, not every school can be hyper-traditional. Auburn has exactly two possible uniform combinations,* but it would be bizarre to see UH try to do that. It would likewise be weird to see Oregon wear the same thing every game. Part of what makes college football beautiful is that different teams are different. We don’t need to be Penn State or Notre Dame; we just gotta find what works for Houston.
* Changing the facemask doesn’t count.

It is not unexpected that the “Fighting Irish” would use green as an alternate jersey because green is the color of Irish Catholics. Notre Dame’s standard blue is the color of Our Lady.

Using Green is not new to Notre Dame. They’ve played tons in that uniform. Just not lately. Its very much part of their traditions and history.

UH is going with the white jersey and white pant against BYU, but unlike Notre Dame’s gold helmet, UH is going with the white helmet. If you are going white on white, go with a red helmet, not the monochromatic look.

Enjoying the great ND alternate uniforms in this thread. Hopefully their creativity will continue. I know we can’t quite match their great tradition of alt’s, but we do have some pretty good ones.
