Baileson Brewing is on Bissonnet approximately where Kay’s Lounge used to be. Marquis II is also on Bissonnet on the other side of Kirby Dr. about 0.5 mile from Baileson’s. I may have walked to the stadium from Baileson’s in my younger days but now I need to drive.
I wish the Gingerman was still open. I loved that place.
Under the Volcano has a Steak Night and have live music Wednesdays. Big Easy is open Wednesday through Saturday. Yeah, the area is just fine. And The Burger Joint will be opening in the old Village Plumbing building. I don’t hate living around here.
Nothing to do in the Rice Village?
What?!?!
There are shops…There are restaurants…There are bars…there is everything you need within walking distance from the campus is there.
You need to get an eye appointment…check
You need to mail a package…check
You need to buy a new suit…check
You need to select paint colors for your bedroom wall…check
What if you need fried chicken, red beans and rice, and egg rolls?
I’m not heading to Rice Village for that.
You can get egg rolls at the Rice Box or Tiger Noodle House.
Plus there is a chicken place that serves chicken and beans…many places, actually.
