You’re not even from Houston.
…and? I happen to be in the sports/stadiums construction industry.
These are scammers. Needs $1.$B’s the scammers say…yes and I also need $1.4B’s because I said so UHCoog.
These are the same scammers that have admitted maintenance was not done according to guidelines.
…and?
The Texans are just a tenant of NRG. They don’t have control over the stadium. The county does. But you will keep up with this narrative, so I’ll leave it here.
Across 610, where astrowrold used to be.
With all the available office space, they should have no problem getting prime office space and a decent price
I don’t think the astroswolrd site is the ut land. I could be wrong but I don’t think it’s that patch of land.
Can UH buy the land?
Not at the over-inflated price they bought it from their donor at.
It is still wild to me to think the UT system thought they could build a whole new massive campus without running it by the legislature.
uta owns the Texas politicians. They can freely do whatever the f…k they want even though it breaks every rule. Until we “break through” with these same politicians uta will keep doing whatever the f…k they want. This is only possible in Texas.
the city of houston says youre not paying enough to make our pro sports people happy; dig in the wallet more fella !
Did y’all see Will Kunkel’s tweet today about Cal McNair saying that they’re willing to move out of the NRG area for a new stadium? Staying within the Houston area. So, that could mean the suburbs, unless there is any possibility of downtown/EADO. Which means that the people in the suburbs could vote on those taxes to move the team there.

Kirby Dr. and Loop 610 will soon become a graveyard of stadiums.
I can see the Tour Bus now. The Tour Bus host says on the microphone " And folks, on the right, is the world’s only cemetery of all purpose stadiums."
only option is brazoria, montgomery or fort bend county as chambers is a no go
just move down kirby to pearland lol
Not going to happen without the rodeo
The Texans need to pony up and pay like the commanders are doing.
This is the way to earn public trust and collaboration between gov and the team.
Why don’t they move to the land UT bought .
They will have to stay within the Houston city limits if they want funding bc no way the woodlands , porter or the burbs can pay.
I’d be all for it somewhere downtown or midtown which if the city is having to pay make it cool so that it drives development and creates a buzz. Having it downtown would have me even willing to go to their games in addition to UH games.
No way it goes to downtown.
It will be a logistical nightmare if the Astros are also playing on the same day in Sept/Oct or if the Rockets are playing in Nov/Dec.
It also needs to be on a rail route
