OT: The time when UH almost joined the SEC with Texas A&M

I personally enjoy the discussion. And the more I read with regards of UH potentially joining the SEC all those years ago I agree with Law… it was just a false hope that UH had. The SEC never truly considered inviting us.

And I don’t think that Tech is a bigger brand than UH… I agree with UH1927 there

And folks on here pull for the Aggies. Now UT will whip them for it.:grinning:

I ain’t reading all that. If the old cougars say that happened then it did! Coogs could be in the sec! :grinning:

And like most lawyers, you say the same thing over and over. Mouth diarrhea

No invite was ever received.

Again though, if you don’t like it, yet still CHOOSE to read it, knowing good and well what’s there…then you shouldn’t blame anyone else.

But it was coming if aglet hadn’t ruined it.

Law,

UCLA’s averaged close to what we averaged last season the year they received the B1G invitation.

The brand "value " is more than just attendance.

UH > TTU

No bad decisions and lack of fan support killed our chances. We were never going to be invited to the SEC.

Bigmccog has it right.

No SEC invite was ever issued.

And as long as that is the case, no one can ever correctly say that we “almost joined” the SEC.
