Question: who’s gonna clean up the Bull $hit when the games over, no matter where?
Update as of 2025 is over 10 billion now.
As I have aged, my stance on zoos has changed. The current Houston Zoo Shasta enclosure makes me sad. The campus Shasta cage was on campus when I was in school, it was empty, but it was so sad.
Team no live animal.
Baylor has it’s bear.
LSU has a live tiger they bring around the stadium pregame.
Memphis has a live tiger they bring around the stadium pregame.
Cincy had live bearcat (binturong) when I was there last, but don’t know if they still do.
Auburn has an eagle.
Georgia has a bulldog.
UT has a longhorn steer.
Colorado has a buffalo.
There are more, need I go on?
I want our live Cougar back at the games. Heck, my high school had a live wildcat.
What exactly is a “wild cat?” And my high school was the falcons but I guess having a live falcon was too expensive.
LSU hasn’t brought the tiger around the stadium in probably 20 years at this point.
Memphis sunset theirs in 2020.
I don’t think you can compare those two animals to a cougar.
I remember when Bevo tried to kill little Uga.
I posted wildcat not wild cat. But to answer your specific question, I would think a wild cat would just be a feral cat.
A wildcat is usually referred to the same thing as a bobcat, but technically the European Wildcat and African Wildcat are the two unique species.
In America, the wildcat species include:
-
Bobcat (Lynx rufus)
-
Canada Lynx (Puscinna canadensis)
-
Puma (Puma concolor), also known as the mountain lion or cougar
-
Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis)
-
Jaguar (Panthera onca)
Ok so it’s basically a bobcat then. Although I can see why wildcat was chosen, it does “pop” a little more so to speak.
Well that’s a bummer, I just remembered LSU still brought Mike the Tiger around the stadium the 3 times we played them in the late 90s. But LSU still has a live tiger mascot across from Tiger Stadium in an elaborate caged eco system.
I cheered for UGA
