Another reason I’m glad to leave the American. Tulane loses to Southern, Toledo, Charleston (twice), Valpo and Florida State but beats Memphis and Cincy to start of conference play. Terrible.

UCF up 20-14 at SMU. 4 min left first half
Florida State certainly not a bad loss but as ie said for years, anytime you’re in a league with any combination of Tulane, Tulsa, SMU or Rice, you’re not in a good situation
Speaking of Seminole’s, I caught a good part of their game at NC State yesterday that they won by 2. Caleb Mills had a nice game with 13 points on 5/10 shooting to go along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 30 minutes. He’s not “featured” in their offense as 2 other players also took 10 shots. What struck me the most is how he plays with so little energy, not the typical Sampson player. I know Kelvin has said he likes to recruit offensive players and coach them to be good defensive players. I’m sure he thought he could do the same with Caleb but I just don’t think the intensity was there
