yep, weather forecasting is not perfect, especially in cleveland where they get lake affect snow; but in general it works. Detroit is supposed to be below feezing in january, many days it was in the 50s this past year; so Detroit had a warm january in 2026. the ice bowl days are few in michigan dec-mar imo. if they were the majority, michigan, wisconsin, minnesota; would not be liveable.
