We can’t play a deliberate slowdown offense. We had all the momentum and could have blown Tulane out when we were rolling 28-7. The game turned when we slowed the tempo. We lost momentum and never got it back.
I understand needing to rest the defense, but we were unable to stop them with the tactics used, so we should have just made a shootout of it and kept our offense rolling.
Looks like this is going to be a long disappointing season. If I’m wrong I’ll be elated, and will happily eat crow.
This game was such a disappointment! Why are having these second half meltdowns?
