Patrick Carr for Workhorse RB

At the beginning of the year both CMA and CKB said they prefer to have a clear #1 at RB. Most of us expected that to be T Williams but due to injuries, helmet issue at Rice, and the Car brothers doing well, that has never materialized. Both CMA and CKB have backed off their earlier statements and said a 3-headed monster at RB is fine with them due to the pace of the offense.

Nothing against the other backs but IMO Patrick Carr has separated himself from the pack and deserves more carries than he’s getting. He has speed, decent power, and hits the holes well. But I also understand if it isn’t broke don’t fix it and just keep splitting the carries.

What do you guys think? Carr for workhorse or just keep what is working?

I’m new on here but I wanted to come on here and see if anyone else was thinking the same thing. What they’re doing is working somewhat well but it’s kind of frustrating bc it seems like every time Carr breaks away and starts getting hot, they sub him. RBs need time to find their rhythm and get in that groove. It doesn’t seem like coaches are giving any one back the chance to.
It’s interesting

Everyone knows if you feed a back they only get better… That is All.

Never thought they had a 3 headed monster, what he said … ^

Carr is quick and has vision. Sometimes getting stuffed is as much on the RB as the OL. Don’t see that with Carr. I haven’t been that impressed with him in the open field, but he’s the clear starter. Having said that, Williams has been very impressive at times, just not enough, but his injury problems are mostly to blame for that. RB may be our best position offensively. Even Justice and Smith have looked good.

I like Patrick’s speed, but Mulbah’s raw power is needed more than speed sometimes. I also have no problem with the subbing. When you run plays as quickly as we do, legs are going to get tired. It’s just really nice to have another RB to put in there and production not drop off.

We don’t overload Carr but he’s clearly our most important cog running the ball. We looked at it yesterday:

Accolades were well deserved. We need him to have another big day to take the pressure off the QB.

His pass blocking needs to be on point Friday as well with Tune.
