Joking aside the window to contain monkeypox is gone. Per docs I know, I know of three young hetero girls who have monkeypox, it has begun spreading beyond the lgbtq community. I am expecting to see out breaks at schools and even a football team this fall.

The fact is and it is undeniable. This virus is primarily spread in the gay community. Check out where and when it spread in Europe.
No you canât make assumption(s) that it is going to spread to the general non gay community. It is highly irresponsible to do so. The cdc reported 6k cases a few weeks ago and declared an emergency. They purposely took out the details of which community has the vast majority of these casese.
Why did they choose to do so?

From what I have read, it is possible to spread monkey pox by respiratory droplets, HOWEVER, it is most easily and most often spread by seminal transfer.
In that regard, it should, at least to some extent, be considered a STD.

Obviously, someone can also give it to someone else by other means, but that seems to be the most common mode of transmission. And that can, of course, occur during heterosexual activity.
