Interesting. RPI is now at 39.

The only teams on our schedule that have a higher RPI than us are Arkansas(27) and Temple (32). Rhode Island is at 44, Cinci at 48, SMU at 51 and LSU at 61.

Man. Tulane. 320. ECU and USF both in the mid 200s at 241 and 249, respectively.

If the season ended today, we’d probably be a 3 or 4 team conference with SMU on the bubble, but Temple, Houston and Cinnci getting in. UCF probably a NIT team at 64.

Memphis, UConn and Tulsa all have surprisingly low RPIs at 112, 153 and 184, respectively. They’ll be hungry, thirsty and/or angry by the time we face them.

Memphis is a bit surprising, but they’ve lost to the 3 toughest teams on their schedule, 2 at home, and their big name opponents that they beat…UAB, Oklahoma, and Iowa…are all mediocre this year.

Tulsa and UCONN aren’t very good this year. Still dangerous teams, but their drop offs are hurting the conference this year.

We’re 37th now…but that drops after tonight, right…even if we win?

I doubt we drop if we win. Opponent’s opponents have just as much weight as the opponent does and they have played a solid OOC schedule so far. Beating bad teams with weak schedules is when it hurts.

I was wrong. We dropped to 50 after the win. Hopefully we don’t look past Harvard. We need to beat them and the three after that. Sad to say but thanks to losing to both LSU and Arkansas, we actually have to beat teams like UConn on the road to stay in the hunt.

83 now. Got some ground to cover.

Bad news: Coogs aren’t in any of the polls this week and sit at 84 in the RPI

Good news: Massey Composite has the Coogs at #50

Better News: RPI Forecast predicts that the Coogs will finish 45th and are favored in all remaining games except for the 2 Cincy games and the game at SMU.

Hopefully things get better. Just listened to the Scott & Holman Pawdcast and i’m less confident about the game tomorrow in Sores (sic).

Think we’ll be OK against UCONN. The Huskies are pretty depleted at guard and may be without their leading scorer Jalen Adams which will leave them with only 2 scholarship guards. Normally, UCONN’s bigs were good enough to overcome that, but their bigs are awful this year. Coogs should win this.

Vegas has us minus 3.

But I bet they had us minus 7 (at least) against Harvard.

Tough day to be at work.

The win yesterday took us from 85 to 77. Keep grinding.

South Florida is at 267. We may drop again, even if we win.

UCF lit up Temple today; held them to 11 in the first half which broke the record that we tied against UCONN when we held them to 12 in the first half. Scary team.

41/42 RPI might not get us in.
