Remind us again how big a city Austin is…or Seattle…or Los Angeles…
They seem to have found a way to attract Traditional Students to create a culture

Again, most of those students that go to those schools don’t come from the towns they are located in. Tallahassee only has 200,000.
Most of UH’s students are from the city. UH is doing a great job with that, why shut out the locals just because you want more football season ticket holders?
did you read my solution???
Attract out of states students that WANT to GO AWAY TO SCHOOL at UH
You specifically mentioned Florida State.
as an example that drastically transformed their mission statement and reputation into a Traditional College…same with Texas A&M and I’m sure there are other examples.
The only thing you bring up is being envious of your neighbor.
the only thing you bring up is being content with being mediocre…I’m not that quick to give up my belief in the University of Houston and the strides we are making.
We will just agree to disagree.
Got it- you want UH to remain a commuter school suitable for part-time students.
You see, thats your problem, I don’t think that UH or our diplomas are mediocre. F U for saying that it is.
Hey everyone, your degrees are mediocre and you went to a mediocre school!
Reading Comprehension, norbert.
None of us are talking about the quality of our DEGREES!
we are talking about ways of improving the University of Houston so we attract more traditional students who WANT to feel a lifelong connection to their alma mater…which includes increased involvement in hundreds of categories.
No wonder we don’t even know what you’re arguing
Are you a closet longhorn or aggie? Because you call out UH being an inferior commuter part time mediocre school as much as those guys do.
Longhorn or Aggie…no, i lived in the dorms at UH and look forward to the college attracting more colleges like myslef, and others here.
I’m speaking as someone who was a traditional student…we just need more.
Define less UH hating “stay in our lane” people like you
Yeah, I know. That’s their selling point to Texas kids. Plus they give them money.
if anyone has an inferiority complex its YOU. Perception is reality, you don’t decide the value of your degree the market does. If people think a UH degree is less valuable because “its a commuter school” then it is.
A commuter students experience is not negatively affected by how traditional the school environment is but a traditional students is negatively affected by a “commuter school” environment. UH has nearly 40k non-resident students which on their own would be a top 50 sized school. nothing is stopping someone from being a commuter student.
Houston metro is 6.8mil larger than 19 states with 25 P4 flagship universities. why should the people of Houston be denied a “Flagship” university experience in their own home?
no reason we can’t be both, Holgi killed any momentum we had, plus the actual game of football is boring, good luck convincing the young kids lol
Man I feel sorry for people like you that depend on other people’s judgment of you, to assign self worth.
Norbert, we don’t even know what youre arguing.
Why IN THE WORLD would you NOT want more UH alums to feel a LIFELONG connection to their alma mater?
I can’t believe you are actually arguing we don’t need to improve in that category.
Has nothing to do with an inferiority complex and everything to do with taking pride in watching our fine Univetsity connecting with more students with each passing class that graduates.
Why are you arguing against that???
Mediocre. Commuter school. Sticks and stones. You’ve fallen for it.
Man I feel sorry for people like you who fail reading comprehension.
It is tiring responding for the umpteenth time “why doesn’t UH attract more support in the 4th largest city?” I will let posters smarter than me answer it this time.
