Maybe. I did see one post claim he’s the #1 transfer actually in the portal. Idk how accurate that is tho.
Either way it’s not really about money for that guy. He could have made more money elsewhere for some time.
He just wants the best path possible to stick in the NBA, and ISU doesn’t wanna get left at the alter holding the bag. It happened w/ AJ Green and look at how he’s doing in the NBA now. Can’t really say he made the wrong decision for himself.
On the flipside, that AJ Green-less ISU team couldn’t score and got bounced in the 1st round by a mediocre Pitt team. Blown out, actually. TJ isn’t gonna let that happen again even if it means pushing people beyond their comfort zone and out the door.
I respect TJ for putting ISU first, and I trust him fully. I do take everyone involved at their word that this is both guys’ primary concern.
I’m more so tryna say that if he does end up back in college and gets a bag, I’ll try not to be quite so sour grapes about it. Try

In a vaccuum, I’d much rather he play for Houston than any other college team that’s not ISU.
And I do appreciate the scale exactly as worded.
There are entangling implications to that tho that would make it problematic.
I do doubt he’d actually go to Houston because of that. But who really knows anything anymore.
