I agree but coaches aren’t going to 4 schools in 4 years. That issue is much smaller in comparison

lol assistants don’t count in this scenario.

Some schools give coaches multiyear contracts but that’s how it has always been in coaching

You literally have players bouncing from high major to high major for no legitimate reason now

What’s the legitimate reason they have to stay?

Students are allowed to transfer as often as they’d like. Athletes are students.

Not when you sign an agreement to play for a school and get paid to do that. I didn’t sign an agreement to study biology at UH lol. That’s what makes it different. There used to be rules in place for a reason, so what you’ve seen the past couple off seasons wouldn’t be the norm

athletes whined about not getting paid from the outside for endorsements - handled

athletes whined about transfer rules - handled but taken advantage of due to excessive transfers for reasons strictly about money

athletes whined about not getting anything if they cant get endorsements - handled

An Assistant is leaving for a promotion most of the time - a 5 star athlete that has started isn’t jumping from Kansas to Louisville to Alabama due to opportunity- they;ve gamed the system and commitment is out the door

It’s a good life lesson. Pay me or promote and pay me. If not try and find someone who will. At a certain level with the money there is only so long that window is open if you’re not maximizing it you’re foolish.

And yes for that level that includes the degree arguments. I’ve had a degree for quite awhile now and I haven’t gotten a million+ dollars from a year at a work place yet

But also the dummies at the NCAA only have themselves to blame

Making more money at each school, is the promotion that justifies every coach move. Why not players? 18 to 22 year olds get to be capitalists too

Especially, when they’re the product…

You can’t do that in any professional athletics league

Yeah they have contracts, CBA’s, rules, etc. Transfer Portal, NIL’s, coaching that’s the real world.

Also, assistant coaches almost always have one year deals. Head coaches, have to have their contract bought out if they leave early. The easy fix is to have kids sign multi year deals. And if they leave they have to be bought out, etc.

Then sign student athletes to multi year deals
