This is a joke , right? 2 weeks ago, 15 minutes from campus it was 112F and sprinkling lol
Here ya go
Tucson at #2
Houston #18
I agree you guys will probably pull it out, but to say we cant handle the heat is pretty funny.
Trust me, it is not a dry heat. Raining as we speak.

Watching replay of Arizona and BYU. Thinking if WE believe this is the same team we will play next week, we are in for a shock. WE will not believe what happens to us if we don’t KNOW that the Arizona team will be vastly improved from what we have witnessed in their game against BYU . . . . .
This is a joke right? Sprinkling and humidity are two different things. Temperature numbers are important but humidity is the part of the heat that will get them.
Texas Tech back in 2009 said the same thing until the 3rd quarter when everyone started going down with cramps. It was like watching synchronized menstrual cycles.
Humidity plays a huge role. Unless you’ve been here or lived here you can’t compare and yes I’ve been in Arizona for a period of time to make a legitimate comparison. In comparison to Houston it feels as though there is no humidity.
Definitely a joke. Lived in Tucson for a number of years. Actually graduated from Tucson High School back in 1977. Tucson humidity averages about 25-30% whereas Houston averages 75-80%. Huge difference that goes well beyond the numbers. I suspect that Sumlin realizes this and will be doing whatever he can to prepare his team.
I rewatched the game, and the did press at the LoS more than I have seen before. Our DBs were simply getting beat by Trammel and Cephus over and over.
The forecast has trended in a better direction over the last 16 hours or so. Might end up being a decent day after all.
I want it to be miserably humid and hot. I can deal with it sucking to watch if Zona is passing out in the second quarter
Saw this on an Arizona board and thought it was funny…
Ed Oliver is going to eat our lunch.
And I mean that literally. He’ll be snacking on a stolen club sandwich with one arm and throwing aside our offensive linemen with the other, while Khalil dances around in the pocket waiting to be dragged down by Oliver’s bacon grease-stained fingers.
Yay…
My guess is we will see at least as much improvement in Arizona saturday as we saw in Rice this week.
What kind of field do you guys use? is it natural grass or some type of field turf?
Turf about 5 years old. Hot as hell during the day.
Is that what you guys practice on?
We have turf and grass. We have turf in the stadium and will have turf in the new indoor practice facility that is under construction.
I was asking because of the amount of rain you will get this week. I assume that the fields drains well and the wet turf won’t be that big an issue.
Correct. The rain won’t be an issue with respect to the turf. Of course if its raining during the game, it could affect holding onto a wet football and the passing game.
Too funny
