Preview: Houston at UC Irvine for Three (W 4-3)

Yep, Henry and Villarreal are probably unavailable tonight and possible tomorrow after getting extended innings on Wednesday.

HBPs hurt that inning. Need the meat of the order to get us back up a run or two.

We need to raise the ERA of their closer tonight.

Okay, your Anderson. Pulido to start the ninth or bring in Fletcher?

Let Pulido go. May need Fletcher tomorrow.

I’d go with Fletch.

I agree. But if he walks or gives up a hit, I go to Fletcher.

Big Win Tonight. Romero struggled with control but kept us in it. Pulido great job to finish it out.

Nice to see the hitting and fielding coming around. I think Davis is getting ready to start hitting dingers, He is really start to heat up. If you remember, last year it took several games before he started getting them out of the park.

Davis drilled one in the first that Branham said would have been out, except it was on a line. He’s been hitting the ball hard the last two weeks. Guessing he’s rounding into shape after the surgery.

True. Seth Romero hasn’t been lights out, but he kept the team in the game. With the exception of the Misuz game, he’s been pretty good.

Romero walked like six and hit a batter, so he obviously did not have his stuff. But good for Seth for battling and keeping us in the game. And a really good clutch job of pitching by Pulido. The former Brazoswood hurler pitches with a lot of grit and determination.
Triolo was clutch and Davis appears to be coming on strong.

Up to #10 in Warren Nolan RPI and #14 in Massey.
