1st loss for UT-RGV. Carter Henry does get the win. Coogs now 6-2 on the season and get Cal State Fullerton this weekend in what should be a good series.

I know it is still early and plenty of ball left but so far, I like what I see with the baseball teams in our conference this year. ECU and Houston are currently ranked, USF beat #3 Florida State and is 7-1, Memphis beat #11 Ole Miss, and UCF nearly beat #2 Florida last night with another shot at them at home tonight. UCONN also looks like a solid team. Hopefully UH can win the series against Cal State Fullerton. Should be a good test for the team.

I agree. There will be some good baseball in conference this year and people need to get out and support the team. Our team is young this year with a lot of talent.
Pitching - Solid starters, good mid-relievers, not sure who is the Closer but we have good arms to go here.
Batting - Maybe the best we have seen in awhile. Still early but we definitely have been putting runs on the board and it is coming from the freshmen. Davis has not taken on a tear yet. Watch when that happens.
Fielding - The sore spot so far. Hopefully it will improve in time and experience. Arm strength in outfield is also a question.
I am excited about the team and would love to see the conference put 4 - 6 teams in the tournament.
