Gaido’s 1943-1947. A lot going on in this picture….Calm day on the beach, the wonderful cars, Fort Crockett coastal mortar battery built during World War One, the children playing outside of old Luvenburg school in the background, all the while some of our guests were inside enjoying fresh local seafood. We did not have a tall structure at the time so we assume someone climbed a telephone pole to take this picture. It seems that nowadays we are so busy that we forget to look back every once in a while.
