We need to copy and paste this in every recruiting thread!

What this tells me is nobody has an excuse. Talent won’t be an issue for anybody. It’s on the coaches. We are all in the same league. Develop players and coach well and you will have a shot at the conference championship

Uh oh

I was thinking that same thing. :joy: “It’s on the coaches”

Why can some programs sign 20+ players and others can’t? I understand Cincy with a whole new coaching staff but ours has been here five years. Its strategic, right? It’s the mythical second round of entries?

Lol

This is early signing day and several players are waiting to sign until February or announce at some later date. We have a 4 star recruit we are waiting on to announce. I have heard us linked with another 5-6 players. I feel we are definitely employing a quality over quantity approach.

Exactly look at Kansas State.

I agree, I’m just saying that Dana is our coach right now. So, uh oh.

There’s not really a lot left after early signing day.

MHP
Jacoby Davis
Jayden Anderson

That is the list. Unless we see coaches fired/leaving and kids get out of their NLI.

So check out this kid…Rodney Gallagher projected as WR but played QB in high school. WVU beat out ND, Penn State and pretty much everyone on the planet for this guy…(you folks will no doubt hate his high school uniform, LOL) I think this kid would have been a much higher rated recruit if he had played his projected position (slot receiver) in high school. Now these Big 12 recruiting rankings have WVU in the middle of the pack or lower tier in recruiting but i love our class…you guys flipped Justin Benton from us and that was a really good get for Houston IMHO, but this WVU class was loaded with Benton calibur or better players. If WVU really is mid level or worse then in my opinion the rest of the Big 12 must also be having one HELLUVA recruiting year. Now, as good as i think Brown’s recruiting might be, i have zero faith he can coach them or can manage to keep 50% or more from leaving via the portal.

That guy looks like Randall Cunningham

Id take that comparison…from my WVU perspective the names Tavon Austin and Noel Devine, popped into my head. Of course its all pointless if Brown is as utterly clueless as i believe him to be.

Has the B12 schedule come out? I want to be at our first B12 game. Waited 26 years for this.

Im anxious to see that schedule too. I figure it should be automatic that WVU plays Cincinnati annually, but in that first year do we get any of the other 3 newcomers Houston, UCF, or BYU?

My guess is that you’re going to get UCF every year as well. Possibly Houston, depending on how they do it. (I have an ongoing fear that they are for scheduling purposes going to consider us an “Eastern” school outside the Texas circuit, though they’ve been giving me reason to believe maybe not.)

7A first team all state is pretty awesome.

Nah but rumors TCU or Texas will be our first home big 12 teams
