Now granted, a refrain of “they won it, on the dunk” is the main thing I can think of when I think of Billy Packer but he was so much more. He is a college basketball broadcasting legend and will be missed. RiP

Sad to hear. I remember Packer paired with Enberg and McGuire and what a threesome. Packer could get a little technical in his explanations of what was happening on the court, but he had forgotten more basketball than a lot of coaches knew. He was an analyst’s analyst.
