Arkansas is a bottom SEC job. Very tough place to win in todays landscape
Houston in the Big12, the difference in resources/talent isnt that big, compared to the SEC

I cannot believe they still have Yurachek.
Thatās what I used to say about Ole Miss, now Iām thinking Kiffen may actually choose staying there over LSU or Florida. I think the change in landscape is going to make more Vanderbilt cases than there used to be.
I also think certain coaches match up well with certain schools. Iād have been more worried about losing Herman to UCLA than Arkansas, but with Fritz itās the other way around. (Though I do put the odds of this coming to fruition pretty low either way.)
And I worry about our demonstrated inability to retain his staff, due to financial constraints. That and fan support.
Arkansas got Wal-Mart money
Not saying heād leave but I could definitely see it as a leverage move to get more financial support. We have lost a lot of players to NIL and other teams have poached our coaching staff.
Remember that Arky lost their coach to USC and whiffed on Beard and Jerome Tang. They had to jump Calipariās situation going sour at UK and connection to the chicken guy. They are paying him but it wasnāt a money flex. Itās was a circle the wagons moment
Arkansas had Wal Mart money in 2019 and ended up with an OL coach as their HC.
Why are you so convinced to try to make Arkansas a thing?
Nobody on their board is mentioning Fritz. Literally not a soul.
Plus Arkansas is a tough place to win these days.
There will be about a dozen or more P4 coaches fired every year. As long as Fritz keeps doing well, he will be mentioned for about every one of them by somebody, whether by the media or someone on one of the boards that worry about everything.
Unless proven wrong, I take CWF at his word that this is his last job.
We are no longer in the AAC. However, just like with Sampson, Fritz will be in the rumor mill until we go thru a couple of declines similar to Sampson. I am confident the guys who call the shots will take care of Fritz and his coaching staff.
If Fritz finishes strong and then gets a bowl win. He will be taken care of.
Weāre definitely not waiting for the bowl game. Weāll definitely offer whatever we can if he has double digit (or maybe even 9) wins.
If I was Arkansas, keep an eye on Kendal Briles. Heād cost less and would probably be an easier buyout if not successful.
Yep, CWF seemed pretty annoyed that he was told we had a budget he couldnāt surpass when he wanted to keep former DC Shiel wood.
You think heās annoyed now? I donāt.
Some people love to be miserable, and they really love dragging others along with them.
Iāve searched on internet if any mention of his name. I havenāt seen any mention
Have never heard of these guys before, and wonāt plan on listening to them in the future.
Arkansas? lol
First, good to see @parialex posting.
Second, hopefully CWF stays, but wonder if two years in this NIL era, in a program outside the SEC or BIG will be the new norm.
Why would he take a worse job?
We arenāt G5 anymore
