Duarte confirmed on twitter 20 minutes ago. He gone.

Report says announcement coming shortly. IF, and after the LSU debacle I say IF, all this is going down, Herman will want to address his team before going public. No doubt that will take time. Meanwhile we all wait for Duarte to report something official.

Duarte’s Tweets have posted. Given that Tom had a front row seat to how UT and the Big 12 dealt with not just UH but all the so-called expansion candidates I can only assume that money trumps integrity. So much for “it’s not about money”. It may not be the whole deal but it is certainly a part of it. There is not a more screwed up conference than the Big 12.

Just an after-thought. No way UH gets into Big 12 now. Herman will not want to play UH under any circumstances.

It’s al bright and shiney and new to him now. Wait until that UT dysfunctional culture puts its big arm around his shoulder. No matter what assurances they made, Herman will never have the final word in running the UT football program. He will always be accountable to all the big money people who are the power behind the throne.

JThe sad truth is every disengenuous thing Herman said about Houston and UH is actually true. I disagree with others who say you cannot win a national championship in Houston. Yes you have to do it the hard way. But say what you will (and we all have our thoughts) about Herman but he did put UH back on the naational map. We have to stay there and play in NY6 games to solidify that. Then one year we are 13-0 and conference champ and going up agsinst several 9-3 non-conference champ P5 programs. We will have a great shot at the playoffs. Then its up to us.
