SDSU on using UH road map to get own stadium

"“That’s the only way we’re going to be successful moving forward,” Wicker said. “It’s figuring out what that’s going to look like.”

Having just played Houston in the Las Vegas Bowl gave Wicker a chance to meet with Houston officials, who have extended an invitation to him to come check out their football stadium.

“They told me they’d love to have me come out to take a look,” Wicker said. “They said they could tell me what they did right and the things they’re regretting now. There’s that road map out there.”"

I wish officials can share the things they are now regretting…

I gave my two cents on the Chargers in the non UH section.

SDSU shared Jack Murphy stadium with the Chargers. SDSU has wanted to have its own stadium for about 6/7 years now. The present stadium future is a bunch of wrecking bowls coming. The City won’t keep spending $M’s to keep it in business.
John Moores that we all know is a major donor to both U of H and SDSU. He wants to be a partner into a new MLS Team. Don Garber, MLS commissioner is en route to San Diego to meet with him…again.
As soon as an MLS franchise is granted to him you will hear an announcement for a new 35k stadium. It will house both SDSU and MLS. This will be funded by John’s group with help from the City of San Diego and other partners.
Don’t get me started. The Chargers, NFL and the City of San Diego are all at fault on this. San Diego is home to many billionaires that do not want the City to be “too big”. They want to keep that homey feeling.
they pulled the same bs when it was time to expand the airport.
I’ll stop right here.
