Season ticket update per Kris Gardner:
From looking at football season ticket options it looks like sales are pretty good. Hopefully my section wonât be full of visiting fans again⊠but I am not holding my breath. Anybody know how the new premium seats are selling?
800 tickets sounded like a lot, but it doesnât get close to where I would have liked it to be unless we can get that renewal rate up closer to like 95%.
I did the math on it and it isnât great
Weâre going to have to put together a couple winning seasons to see real momentum in ticket sales.
Yeah, sitting at 80% of renewals is a bad sign.
We had 6,000+ new and 23,000 total season tickets sold in the first B12 season. I donât know last yearâs numbers, but weâre looking at a drop-off for sure.
I expected some drop off due to last years slate probably causing a few ticket resellers to lose money, our big draws were ISU and Baylor. This year we have Colorado, Tech and TCU so I expected more tickets sold to different resellers. Adding 800 by June is not too bad I know their big marketing push tends to be July and August.
YeahI found a number of 23,500 for the first year. I used that number as my baseline and 80% of that plus 800 is only 19600.
You have to get down to a base of 4,000 seats sold before you would be equal to last years seats. And we better have more than 4,000 sold
Itâs June. Many people put things off to the last minute. Some bought new seats without renewing their old seats.
The numbers I gave above from a couple of seasons ago were also in June.
Thereâs really no way to spin it - season ticket numbers are going to be down.
Well it looks like we wonât expand the stadium this decade.
Iâm surprised we didnât have Tech as the main feature for the mini plan but we got Colorado instead.
Right now the resell market for Colorado is stronger than Tech, but I would expect a similar deal to the Tech game.
They would be stupid to not exclude the Colorado and Tech tickets from single game sales, at least initially, but it looks they plan to start selling all single game tickets on July 12.
You have to enjoy Cougar football for what it is. Colorado and Tech will be sellouts but the rest, just come and have a good time.
Right now its just icing on the cake till basketball starts. It would be awesome to surprise everyone though.
Man, thatâs a long time to be living on icing - gonna feel bad.
I doubt we will have any sell outs this year. We had just one home game last year with over 30,000 attendance
Colorado and Tech will sell out or be very close
Especially if we are on a winning streak
Is this only available for those renewing? I do not see this mini plan option on the website.
