Season ticket renewal

I probably wasn’t very clear. It was the lot just east of the McDonalds, not the actual McDonald’s parking lot. I know what you are saying. The last time I got towed it was like $375 to get it back.

Those are before UH joined the B12 numbers.
(also an estimate not hard numbers)
Ignore the hit pieces.

UH Baseball was Bad News Bears level of embarrassing.
They stopped scoring obvious errors after awhile.
Multiple pitchers can’t get a single out

A few shaky rain out cancellations from last behind BYU.
Who plays on the SIDE OF A MOUNTAIN.
Lucky Utah in B12 in 24-25.
BYU looks better.

That “data” is based on what?

If it’s NIL, then it’s not even close enough to discuss.

But again, the baseball parking thing has zero to do with NIL spending.

Might as well be Harry Potter, CPA who gave them that data.
Without a verified spreadsheet = Its same level of accounting fantasy.

The thing is, nobody would complain if baseball was competing. If the AD wants to raise baseball revenues, then something has to be done to raise the level of the program. Otherwise, the fundraising will be limited to whatever donors are happy with the situation, and that ain’t many people.

Ritz, did you ever go to any of the games back when UH was a top 10 team in the country?

There was a period where they were at minimum top 25 for many years….they would play against top flight competition and go toe to toe….even had LSU in for series.

Those games were electric….im talking college baseball at its finest with the atmosphere to match.

Almost all of the fans at that time would pay $100 for a season parking pass.

New AD has to cut the head off the snake to get the ball rolling.

I hear you Pollard. I am not getting my point across.

Absolutely! People would pay a nice fee if the product on the field was just competitive. It is amazing how far the program has fallen. Unfortunately, I never got to see the games when UH was a good program. I would love to see it get back to that level again, though. And I would be willing to pay the extra parking fee to see it happen. You just don’t change this, paying for parking, when the team can’t even compete in most of their series. The athletic department just doesn’t get it. They don’t have a clue.

Houston baller, I agree with everything you said.

But I will say this. I’m going to assume that very little $ is coming into the program. Donations must be pretty non existent at the moment. I think this could be a move to try to make up some $.

It was so bad last season.
Bottom of the barrel teams saved their good pitching instead of vs UH on weekday games.
Normally all out vs B12.
A win vs Whitts stiffs not worth a short bullpen and the Friday starter for conf series.

Lots of $$$ just getting people in seats.
Cant be bothered.

Instead its shaking every penny from whatever crowd is left.

Even the Bad News Bears had Chicos Bail Bonds.
It’s sad.

Whits high rollers who payed for baseball so he stayed finally sober up ?
Finally. Paying to embarrass the school.

I understand where you are coming from, but wouldn’t it be easy to assume that the few donors who really love TW are still donating? It is nothing compared to what other Big 12 teams are getting, but I think it is still what they have been used to getting in the last few years. They keep TW because the donations aren’t going down significantly. That, more than anything, tells us where we are as a program.

Bingo! Michael Bourn wasn’t happy neither was I.

I still think there was an undercover sting in the McDonald’s Parking :parking: lot watching customers come and go.

They made a small fortune that weekend.

Not a cool feeling coming back from
The Coogs baseball :baseball: game and my vehicle gone!

I actually ate at the McDonald’s and then walked across to the baseball game that night. Won’t be doing that again! Lol :joy:

I wonder what the kickback is to McDonald’s?

Have to give the baseball folks some credit - they sure are after me on ticket renewal. They might wear me down yet. Even with an iffy team, UH baseball season tickets are one of the best sports values around.

7th in Texas with so much great baseball not a disgrace BUT UH should be better.
The rest is a baseball disgrace.
UH should not be running w bottom 15% of Top 100.
Most of these places have long winters.
Guys stuck in the batting cage.

List is free. Breakdowns paywalled.

Kendall has always been a fan of UH and TW. Nobody understands why.

Idk why but I got a call and renewed my 2 baseball tickets right now. :joy:

I typically go to 3 or 4 games a year max.

So, you are the one?

I got a call today too. I told them I would renew when Todd got the ax.

Was a season ticket holder back when we had the beer vendor yelling out hilarious chants selling his beer, when we had pro scouts coming to watch our pitchers, when we were contending for titles and hosting regionals and super regionals. The day I hear that Whitting is being replaced, I will send email to our AD, thanking him, and then calling to sign up for season tix, not even knowing how good the new coach will be. That’s how much apathy I developed for our once proud program.
