Since We Are Simply Waiting for Next Sat

Also, I want to add that after we met Sumlin in Austin at the restaurant 3rd Base, I started reading comments from many on Coogsfan, that he started acting “funny” to some of you guys and it was ticking folks off (withdrawing himself). You guys saw a change in him long before he did that. All Terrence Broadway do was confirm what many Coogfans thought of Sumlin…before that very disappointing day.

It seems like you’re saying that because he is coach of Arizona, he should recruit better in Arizona? However, Kyle Allen was recruited by him to A&M. So, perhaps I wasn’t understanding your point.

U of A has been a garbage program as long as I’ve known them, so getting Sumlin must have been a bit of a coup for them.

On paper, Sumlin may have seemed a good hire by U of A. Sumlin had a winning record in an ultra-competitive SEC West. It would be reasonable to think that he could make the PAC-12 work since he came from a bigger conference. I’m sure his Texas recruiting ties also helped him get the nod. For whatever reason, Sumlin hasn’t been able to put it together in the desert.

I think we can all agree now that getting a coach from a ‘bigger’ conference doesn’t guarantee success.

Specifically Sumlin has to recruit Phoenix.

I cited just a few QB’s who represent the talent there.

Sumlin is a failure at recruiting Phoenix. Thus he is doomed to failure.

Just like U H a coach should sign local talent, then go from there.
Look at how many Houston guys play for Dana.

Sumlin has no Tucson guys, much less Phoenix.

Again, good riddance…

He is 50-50 to return but only because of his buyout.

Their Athletic Dept. has cut or refused to fill 36 positions to save $money.

I say he will be “reassigned” if not fired.

Remember what TU did to Abe Lemons ? They “reassigned” him to a desk in a broom closet in the back of the Athletics building…
Wow…

If he survives this year Covid would have to be the cause from a financial impact perspective.

I expect we’ll still see a lot movement in coaches this off season just like every year. Please move up Fickell

AKA…the new “Bill O’Brien Treatment”. Don’t fire him, just “reassign him” and give him a higher position on Staff. Surprised no one is knocking on that “QB Genious” door!

Consider the school . . . . . aTm . . . . . I’m sure they highly encouraged him to leave early . . . . .

Yep of course they did like every school does. You stand up and complete your current obligations and do not allow the new school to trash your previous school in the process.

6 DB’s quit The Wildcats team this week as Sumlin lost a record 10th. straight game Saturday night.

The program now has only 66 scholarship players.

The University has banned any attendance at Home Football games. Not a single parent can watch their son play college football.

Wow…this sounds like the very definition of a mutiny, wrapped in a crappy program…

Maybe Sumlin doesn’t want anyone viewing his genius in person.

I checked.

On January 1st. Sumlin’s Buyout drops from $5 million to $3 million.

He already earned a $10 million buyout from A$M.

$13 million to not Coach.
