According to Berman, Orlando and Applewhite have put their names up for the new HC position. Someone claimed Orlando had no interest in sticking around.
I’d like to see Orlando keep up the HtownTakeover momentum.

Yes on Orlando, no on Applewhite
I am the opposite - would prefer Applewhite with Texas ties. Orlando is named the interim. In all honesty, I would prefer the entire staff move on.
If that happens, I’m sure we lose Oliver. We also lose all HtownTakeover momentum.
Oliver is upset about the Herman fiasco. It sounded like he is not moving, but would rather continue to dominate and leave early for the NFL. Correct me if I’m wrong, but he may be married, which could factor into his decision to stay
Oliver isn’t even draft eligible until after the 2018 season.
I’m referring to him going to a Power 5 school. If all the coaches that he has a connection to here are cleared out for a new set of coaches, Power 5 schools will recruit Oliver and convince him that he has a better shot at being a top draft pick playing on national tv every week.
Red shirt sophomores have a terrible track record in the NFL. He’d be forced to sit one to play one. Very unlikely.
I doubt we lose Oliver under any circumstance. He’d have to sit out a year to transfer, and that year of game tape is a huge deal for his draft stock.
I actually like Applewhite better as a HC and not OC lol
I’ve seen many not have to sit out if they are in good academic standing and going through a coaching change. Hopefully it doesn’t come down to that because hopefully we keep Orlando around.
Yeah… and…
No Applewhite…Mr. Run It Up The Middle on 1st & 2nd Down and Leave Us With 3rd And Long.
Go for Montgomery. No more “three yards and a cloud of dust”.
Several things I didn’t like Applewhite’s offense.
Every time we had an 8 or 9 yard gain on first down, we would run to the line, use the same formation as always and snap the ball quick even though the defense was ready anyway. It rarely resulted in a first down.
When our offensive line was completely banged up, it was a rare occasion that he used Tyler as a blocking tight end or a two back set.
Our offense only works when we hurry? That seemed to be the excuse given when we would start the play with 25 seconds left on the play clock but are trying to keep their offense off the field.
I’m sorry but I want an offense that is flexible. I want want that can use 5 receivers or 2 running backs and 2 tight ends if that’s what we need. I want an offense that has the ability to score quick or to grind out the clock when needed. It felt at times that our special teams coach had more creativity than our offensive play calling. That’s not good.
C’mon guys, what you saw Applewhite doing was precisely what Herman had designed and instructed him to do. Didn’t you watch Ohio State running the same plays against Michigan?
Todd Orlando can also be another Will Muschamp. I may be wrong but who knows.
Ed Oliver is married already ?! I hope he keeps worlking hard so he could be a top pick in 2019 draft.
